Two-Day Clinic Offering Free Healthcare Services Coming to Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs will host a two-day pop-up clinic on August 1 and 2 at Pikes Peak State College, offering free medical, dental, and vision services for families in need.

Organized by Remote Area Medical (RAM), this event aims to remove barriers to care for uninsured and underinsured residents across the Front Range.

No identification or payment is required—services are first-come, first-served, with hundreds of local and visiting medical professionals volunteering their time and expertise.

Attendees can access everything from dental cleanings and tooth extractions to vision exams and prescription glasses.

The initiative comes as inflation and insurance changes leave many families without preventive care, underscoring local efforts in public health.

This clinic hopes to unite the community and address rising health needs—organizers urge early arrival for anyone seeking help.

Colorado’s New Front Range Passenger Rail May Add Second Stop in Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs could soon enjoy expanded train service, as the latest plans for the Front Range Passenger Rail District’s Colorado Connector (CoCo) propose a second station in the city’s north.

This development aims to improve commuter access along one of Colorado’s fastest-growing corridors.

Community discussions helped shape the project, which would nearly double annual local returns, from $3.5 million to $6.6 million, through enhanced operations and connectivity.

CoCo—named by over 25,000 voters—will connect 12 cities, stretching from Fort Collins to Pueblo.

The first phase launches in northern Colorado in 2029, with service to Colorado Springs and Pueblo promised by 2032.

Downtown’s platform will move east of the tracks for quicker, walkable access to city attractions.

This project signals strong confidence in Southern Colorado’s future and invites locals to help shape a transformative chapter for mobility and growth.
